30 Day Physical, Spiritual and Emotional Make-Over – Day 3
Day 3 – Slow and Steady Wins the Race
Life is like a long marathon. If you start off at a dead sprint eventually you will wear yourself out. You have to learn how to pace yourself. Then when things get hard or life knocks you down, you have the strength to get back up again. We all fall, it is what you do then that matters the most.
“The Lord upholds all those who fall and lifts up all
who are bowed down.” (Psalm 145:15)
As you continue on this journey, remember that you will fall. To not try to sprint to the finish line. To be slow and steady to make it to the end. God is right there with you cheering you on and so am I. I want you to start to feel confident and enthusiastic about your life again. To wake up encouraged for another day.
I have had the hardest time getting up on my own lately. The weight of the world has been too much some days. It is almost like I feel defeated before the day even begins. But, then I remember who my God is. I run to him in prayer. He fills me with peace and strength to keep going. I pray that you can find the same power in God, that I have.
1) Keep up with the one food habit that you change from Day 1.
2) Don’t forget to schedule in 30 minutes of exercise at least three times a week from Day 2.
3) Take sometime today to pray. Pray to God for the strength and stamina to finish this journey. You will be so glad that you did.
