Becoming Gentle With These Bible Verses
Romans 14:13 – Therefore let us stop passing judgement on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister.
Galatians 6:1 – Dear brothers and sisters, if a man is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself. Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ.
Ephesians 4:32 – Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.
Proverbs 15:1 – A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
Proverbs 16:24 – Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.
Matthew 11:28-30 – Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”
Ephesians 4:1-2 – beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. Always be humble and gently. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.
Phillipians 4:5 – Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near.
1 Colossians 3:12-15 – Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as a member of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.
1 Timothy 6:11-12 – Pursue righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness. Fight the good fight for the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you, which you have declared so well before many witnesses.
2 Timothy 2:24-25 – A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people. Gently, instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people’s hearts, and they will learn the truth.
James 3:17 – But the wisdom from above ia first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and is always sincere.
Hebrews 5:2 – And he is able to deal gently with ignorant and wayward people because he himself is subject to the same weaknesses.
1 Peter 3:15-16 – Instead, you must worship Chist as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it. Bet do this in a gentle and respectful way.
Titus 3:1-2 – Remind them to be subject to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good deed, to malign no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing every consideration for all men.
